Life as a “Xennial”: too young to be Gen X, too old to be a Millennial, too poor to be wealthy, too wealthy to be poor.
I chose the name XennialBlogger because I am both and yet neither a Gen X-er or a Millennial. I struggled to associate with either group, as they were both different than how I saw myself. I discovered the term “Xennial”, and it was finally a term that made sense. An Xennial is one who grew up during an analog time (think basic cable or tv with antenna ears, no remotes, renting VCRs or Beta players, listening to records and tapes) and then, as an adult, being thrust into this digital universe where computers had become a fixture in one’s home, and no one had to leave the couch to change a channel.
Blogging is my way of sharing my story. Perhaps it’s a therapeutic way for me to take some of life off my shoulders, however I am hoping that you can relate to what I write about, and gain something from it. Experience has taught me that a difference of opinion is only fodder for thought, not grounds for war. I encourage all comments, questions and views!
